ELLY HARGREAVE
CAPTAIN
Manages all aspects of our charity including all fundraising. Often at our base working operationally on our All-Ages Service too. 30 years’ experience in charity plus public and private sector too. Been a BBC Broadcast Journalist as well as Human Rights Campaigns Manager at The Body Shop International. Led three charities, co-founded two and former trustee Brighton Carers Centre. Learnt to ride a cycle aged 18 and took up cycling as broken spine rehabilitation aged 31. Raised by a parent with disability and been a young-carer. With team at our start in 2017.
LOUISA BARKLA
CYCLE-PILOT SUPPORT
Supports our Volunteer Cycle-Pilots on our Elder Care Ride Service. Responsible for the behind-the-scenes ride management, Cycle-Pilot training and communications.
20 years’ experience in the charity and corporate sector, including in communications for UNICEF UK and a trailblazing homeless healthcare organisation in Brighton. Joined the team in 2024.
THEO DUNCUMB ROGERS
RIDE ENABLER - ALL-AGES SERVICE
Supports the delivery of our 'All-Ages Ride Service, training Carers to pilot the side-by-side and other trikes on this service. It’s non-stop ride preparation to ensure safe, inclusive and enjoyable rides for all. All rides go out at just 30 minute ‘turn-around’ intervals. She’s most often out cycle-training/supporting newer Carer pilots.
She’s coached young people in cycling skills and worked in university outreach, childrens’ social work and communications. Joined the team in
BERNARDO DACAL
MECHANIC MAGICAN
Bernardo’s love for the outdoors and an active lifestyle led him to discover his passion for cycling. The joy of riding a bike makes him feel truly alive. As a skilled cycle mechanic and engineer, Bernardo aims to make cycling accessible to everyone. He excels in repairing, servicing, and customising cycles to enhance their performance and longevity. We could not keep our wheels turning nor such a reliable service running without his skills and support. Joined the team in 2019.
